Gaming is one of the
most addictive forms of enjoyment, for some they are much more than just
pressing buttons on a standardized controller. Gaming for a lot of people is a
passion; it’s a definition of personality. There is hardly anyone on this
planet who has had the unfortunate calamity of not experiencing “gaming”; how
some adopt it and take it to the next level is another story.
For some it becomes
such an obsession that it starts to define how individuals relate to the
reality of the outside world with a fusion of traits and characteristics that
they imply, see and develop over a time through games.
The genre of games and
their modernization as well as how close they are to the reality these days
also plays a very crucial role in this aspect of cognitive development. Usually
racing, sports and action are found to be defining the personality of an
individual playing them. They start to act like them, think like them when
faced with challenging situations, some of them also idolize them to the fact
that they print out posters and decorate their interiors. Finally, these individuals also look for the
fashion and attires that resemble their favorite gaming characters, it is
almost a conformity clause upon them to follow the style and fashion that is
exactly similar to the one their character has in the game story.
Keeping in view the
point made above, one of the most successful titles in the history of gaming
was Driver and its edition Driver San Francisco, the best part of it was how
engaging and defining it was to an extent that the character in the game was
madly followed. The Driver San Francisco jacket is the moment when people who are loyal to the series adopted the
style and finally got their wish of trying to feel like a character in the game
that they idolize and love.
